TCast documentation
Getting started
- Getting started — projects, playlists, the board, layers, transitions, and getting a clip on air.
- Keyboard shortcuts — every shortcut in one table, including the ones that don't appear in menus.
- Licensing and the trial — free tier, the free trial, activating Pro, and moving your license between Macs.
- Importing media — import files to TCast or upload from a phone or laptop over a network/the internet.
Outputs
Sending the program output from TCast into other software or displays.
- Send your program over NDI — stream program video and audio to any NDI receiver on your network (OBS, vMix, a TriCaster)
- Send your program over Syphon — share program video straight to another app on your Mac
- Send your program into OBS as a Browser Source — this is self-explanatory
- Send your program to a display — send the program full-screen to a projector, stage monitor, or second screen with no extra hardware
Which one do I want?
| Output | Reaches | Video | Audio | Tier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Syphon | This Mac only | Yes, lowest latency | No | Pro |
| NDI | Anywhere on your network | Yes | Yes | Pro |
| Browser Source | This Mac or the network | Yes | Yes | Free |
| Display output | A physical screen | Yes, full-screen | Via the display | Free |
These are all independent, so run any combination at once.
